Freecad had a lot of issues and was generally just annoying to use, so I switched to solvespace. It has features like being able to dimension in 3d view without a sketch, hiding and showing individual face or edge sets, and not giving 5 lines of errors in a popup terminal after every dimension like freecad does. Can you tell I don't like freecad? Anyway, I was able to create a fully parametric counterweight test model in about 10 minutes without any tutorials, compared to the hours spent in freecad, having to start over multiple times. This is what the finished weight looks like. The angle and size of the outer arc can be set, as well as the inner circle.
